How do you provide telephone service to my home or office?
Is there a contract required?
If I move, can I keep my digital telephone service? Can I keep the same phone number if I want to?
I know I can call anywhere in the U.S. and Canada at no charge with your service. My family lives in another state/city. Can they call me free of charge?
We deliver the telephone service to your location via a special device called an ATA that is plugged into your high-speed Internet connection along with your computer. You can plug one of your phones into the ATA or you can plug the ATA into a phone jack in your wall, and all of your phones can use the service, just like the do with regular phone service.
We do not require a contract. You must purchase the ATA, and one month of service, but you can cancel at any time.
You can use our telephone service anywhere in the world, as long as you have high speed Internet from DSL, cable modem, or our Rock Solid high-speed Internet service. You can keep your same phone number or you can get a new number in the city you are moving to (subject to availability).
If it is currently a long distance call, it would still be a long distance call, but you can get a 2nd telephone number from us that is located in the city your friends or family live in, and they can call that number and it will ring at your home or office, free of charge to them. The cost to purchase a 2nd phone number for your line is $5.00 per month.
